Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The CA303 144-303-000-011 is a high-temperature piezoelectric accelerometer manufactured by Vibro-Meter. This series of sensors serves vibration monitoring in extremely harsh environments, including gas turbines and aircraft engines.
    • Designed for high temperature gas turbine applications
    • Continuous operation up to 455°C (850°F)
    • Improved transverse frequency resonance
The CA 303 series of high temperature accelerometers are designed specifically for gas turbines applications. They feature a rugged design with hermetically sealed connectors and 1/4" mounting bolts. An integral mineral insulated (MI) cable with stainless steel overbraid ensures signal integrity even in the most hostile environments. The differential output signal minimizes noise pick-up due to electrical ground potentials. A version with side connector is available when an integral cable is not required.

Under harsh operating conditions where conventional accelerometers experience failure or signal degradation due to extreme thermal environments, the CA303 provides a highly reliable vibration monitoring solution. It supports continuous and long-term operation in high-temperature zones up to 455°C (850°F), addressing the specific problems of signal distortion and sensor damage in key thermally stressed components such as turbine bearings and combustors. This effectively prevents catastrophic equipment failure and unplanned downtime caused by excessive vibration, ensuring the continuity and integrity of data acquisition.

Aerospace Industry
Vibration health monitoring of core hot-section components in aircraft engines (turbofans/turbojets) for commercial and military aviation.

Power Generation Industry
Real-time vibration monitoring of bearing housings and combustors in heavy-duty land-based gas and steam turbines for power grids.

Oil & Gas Industry
Fault diagnosis of massive gas-driven compressor trains at LNG transport hubs and long-distance pipeline compressor stations.

Petrochemical Industry
Vibration tracking of high-temperature hydrogenator reflux pumps operating under continuous radiant heat in cracker and refinery plants.

Iron & Steel Industry
Bearing fatigue monitoring of blast furnace blowers, Top-pressure Recovery Turbine (TRT) units, and hot rolling mill exhaust fans.

Pulp & Paper Industry
Vibration profiling and fault early warning for high-temperature dryer cylinder bearings in paper machines and black liquor recovery boiler blowers.
When utilizing the Vibro-Meter CA303 144-303-000-011, operators must strictly respect the 455°C thermal threshold and ensure tight casing fixation with 1/4" bolts for precise mechanical contact. Due to its high-impedance charge output, the integral mineral insulated cable and connector must avoid severe bending and remain perfectly clean and dry to prevent signal leakage. Furthermore, proper connection to a compatible charge conditioner and dual-core shielded differential wiring are vital to isolate ground-loop interference common around large rotating machinery.
