The VM600Mk2/ VM600 ABE040 and ABE042 systemracks are used to house hardware for the VM600Mk2/ VM600 series of machinery protection and/orcondition monitoring systems, from Parker Meggitt’svibro-meter ® product line.
- From the vibro-meter ® product line
- 19 system racks with a standard height of 6U
- Robust aluminium construction
Two types of VM600Mk2/ VM600 ABE04x system rackare available: the ABE040 and the ABE042. These arevery similar, differing only in the position of themounting brackets. Both racks have a standardheight of 6U and provide mounting space (rack slots)for up to 15 single-width VM600Mk2/ VM600 modules(card pairs), or a combination of single-width andmultiple-width modules (cards).

Hardware carrier: This rack is designed specifically to accommodate various processing cards, input/output cards, power modules, and CPU controllers of the VM600 series, providing necessary mechanical support and electrical connections.
Integrated Backplane: Built in VME Backplane, used for power distribution, signal transmission (such as Tacho, Raw, OC bus), and communication between modules.
Installation configuration:
Specification: Standard 19 inch width, height 6U.
Slot capability: Typically, up to 12 processing cards (such as MPC4, XMx16, etc.) and 2 redundant power modules can be installed.
Special Design: The ABE042 model is characterized by its mounting bracket located at the rear of the rack, suitable for specific cabinet or panel installation requirements.
Redundancy and Monitoring: Supports dual RPS6U power supplies to achieve redundant power supply, and is equipped with power status check relays.
Mechanical Protection System (MPS): Provides real-time vibration monitoring, overspeed protection, and alarm interlocking that comply with safety integrity levels (such as SIL 2) to ensure automatic shutdown in the event of serious mechanical abnormalities.
Condition Monitoring System (CMS): By collecting dynamic signals such as vibration, pressure, displacement, etc., it conducts fault trend analysis, spectrum analysis, and early warning to help achieve predictive maintenance.
Combustion monitoring: Real time monitoring of the combustion stability of gas turbines and other equipment to optimize energy utilization efficiency.
