Alternatively, it can be re-ranged to 0 to 20 mA, mapping identical counts of 0 to 32000 back to the central processor.

To maximize process loop safety, the module incorporates a 4 to 20 mA Enhanced range option. When deployed, 0 mA corresponds to a digital count of -8000, 4 mA resolves to 0 (zero), and 20 mA delivers +32000. While utilizing standard 0-20 mA hardware tracks, the Enhanced range automatically processes native negative values for signal decay between 4 mA and 0 mA. This capability empowers configuration loops with precise low-alarm diagnostics to execute continuous open-wire fault detection in critical 4-20 mA process applications. High and low alarm thresholds are available across all configurations, and the module continuously diagnostic-reports its operational status and user-side power supply health directly to the CPU.
