The 1747-L553 is a chassis-mounted SLC 5/05 controller that integrates a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and an RS-232 port. It manages HMI links and inter-PLC data exchange using EtherNet/IP and DF1 networking protocols.
The hardware architecture supports local expansion up to 3 chassis and 30 I/O module slots, with an addressing capability of up to 4096 discrete inputs and 4096 discrete outputs. Internally, it is equipped with 64K words of battery-backed RAM and supports non-volatile program storage via the 1747-M13 flash memory card. It delivers a baseline program scan time of 0.9 ms/K and an I/O throughput scan cycle of 0.225 ms, while operating continuously across a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius range and withstanding 30G operating shock in industrial environments.
