The Allen-Bradley 1753-IF8XOF4 Analog Combination Module in the Distributed I/O series has 8 Analog Inputs and 2 x RJ-45, 10/100BaseT (with 100 Mbps) with integrated switch Guard PLC Ethernet Interfaces. The 1753-IF8XOF4 operates with a 24V DC Operating Voltage and a 20 ms Response Time.
- 8 analog inputs, 4 outputs
- Dual RJ45 Ethernet switch
- 20ms response time
According to safety requirements, the 1753-IF8XOF4 GuardPLC systems can have product-independent and product-dependent hardware configurations. As far as the product-dependent configurations, it is mandatory to connect only safely-isolated equipment featuring 24 Volts DC power supply.

1. High security level I/O configuration
This module has passed SIL 3 (IEC 61508) and Category 4 certification and is capable of handling critical safety signals:
8-way safety analog input: supports 0... 10V DC voltage signals. If combined with an external 500
Diverting resistor, capable of converting and measuring 0... 20 mA current signals.
4-channel safety analog output: provides 4-20 mA current signal. These outputs have a safety shutdown function and will automatically switch to the power-off (0mA) state when a system fault is detected.
2. Integrated secure Ethernet communication
Dual port switch: equipped with 2 RJ-45 10/100BaseT Ethernet interfaces, supporting linear or star topology structures.
Distributed control: allows analog data to be transmitted to GuardPLC controller via Ethernet for remote safety monitoring.
3. Intelligent fault monitoring and safety protection
Transmitter Voltage Monitoring: It can provide 8.2V or 26V power to external sensors and monitor in real-time whether the configuration is correct.
Fail Safe response:
Once a wiring error, short circuit, or internal hardware failure is detected, all I/O channels will immediately enter a safe trip state (i.e. output a 0 signal).
The FAULT LED on the panel will provide real-time feedback on the operating status of each channel.
Its internal circuit has short-circuit protection function to prevent module burnout caused by external wiring errors, and it is equipped with transmitter voltage monitoring, which ensures the validity of input signals by real-time monitoring of the power supply (optional 8.2V or 26V) output to the sensor; At the same time, the module adopts a fail safe design.
Once internal component failure, overheating, or communication interruption is detected, all analog input and output channels will immediately be forced back to zero signal/off state (0V or 0mA), and intuitive hardware status feedback will be provided through the panel FAULT indicator light to prevent safety accidents caused by incorrect control instructions.
