The 330104-00-05-05-02-CN is a high-performance 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe compliant with the API 670 standard, designed for static axial shaft displacement and dynamic vibration measurements on major rotating machinery.
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
One 3300 XL extension cable
One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Thermal Power Generation
Installed on fluid-film bearings to measure radial shaft vibration and monitor oil film stability under high-load operations.
Hydroelectric Power Generation
Mounted near the upper and lower guide bearings to measure main shaft radial runout and detect structural looseness or hydraulic unbalance.
Petrochemical Refining
Provides continuous axial thrust position tracking to prevent high-speed rotor-to-stator rubbing in highly explosive environments.
Nuclear Power Generation
Delivers highly accurate thrust position feedback to safeguard critical secondary-loop rotating assets under strict regulatory standards.
Air Separation Plants
Tracks high-speed rotor vibration to prevent surge conditions that could catastrophically damage the compressor impellers.
Pulp and Paper Mills
Detects shaft misalignments and vibration anomalies caused by high moisture, high temperatures, and constant heavy-load cycling.
When operating the 330104-00-05-05-02-CN probe, the installation gap must be precisely adjusted to achieve the standard linear core voltage output (typically -10 Vdc) from the Proximitor, while strictly adhering to the maximum connector torque of 0.565 N·m to prevent stripped threads.
During cable routing, the bend radius of the integrated cable must never drop below 25.4 mm, and it must be isolated from high-voltage power lines to eliminate electromagnetic interference.
Furthermore, the built-in miniature coaxial connector protector must be securely locked to seal out oil and water in harsh industrial environments, and the product's "-CN" China NEPSI local explosion-proof certification markings must be verified before deploying in hazardous areas.
Featuring a robust PPS tip and an AISI 303/304 stainless steel case, the probe operates reliably within a temperature range of -51°C to +177°C. This specific configuration is engineered with an M10×1 metric fully threaded body, 0 mm unthreaded length, a 50 mm total case length, and a 0.5-meter miniature cable, while holding the NEPSI explosion-proof certification tailored for the Chinese market.
It is a high-performance 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe used to measure vibration and displacement in industrial rotating machinery.
How does the 330104-00-05-05-02-CN work?
It generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field from its tip. When a conductive metallic surface approaches, eddy currents are induced, and the system outputs a voltage signal directly proportional to the gap distance.
What are the primary applications of the 330104-00-05-05-02-CN?
It is primarily used for shaft vibration and axial displacement measurements, Keyphasor reference tracking, and speed monitoring on fluid-film bearing machines like steam turbines and compressors.
Is the 330104-00-05-05-02-CN suitable for industrial environments?
Yes, it features wide operating temperature, high vibration resistance, and oil-resistant non-armored cable for rotating machinery monitoring.
How to properly install the 330104-00-05-05-02-CN probe?
It should be installed vertically onto the bearing housing using its M10×1 fully threaded body. Adjust the initial gap between the probe tip and the shaft (typically via voltage adjustment) and lock it securely.
