The 330130-045-01-00 is an extension cable driver hardware component of the 3300 XL series eddy current proximity sensor system. It serves as an essential electrical link between the front-end eddy current proximity probe and the rear-end preamplifier sensor, responsible for the lossless transmission of high-frequency electromagnetic signals.
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
One 3300 XL extension cable
One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Thermal Power
Used in steam turbine-generator shaft vibration (X-Y radial vibration) monitoring loops, transmitting high-frequency EMF signals captured by 8mm probes to the cabinet Proximitor.
Nuclear Island
Monitors the shaft axial displacement (thrust) of million-kilowatt steam turbines on conventional islands, providing a reliable physical signal path for axial movement prevention.
Petrochemical
Pairs with 8mm probes for dynamic shaft orbit analysis of cracked gas compressors, assisting in diagnosing rotor imbalance and misalignment.
Air Separation Industry
Used for micron-level thrust bearing wear monitoring of centrifugal air compressors in large air separation units, ensuring high-frequency impedance change signals remain undistorted.
Hydropower Industry
Transmits Keyphasor (phase reference) signals for vertical Francis or Kaplan hydro turbine-generator sets, delivering real-time speed and phase voltage pulses to the 3500 rack.
This 4.5-meter extension cable must be strictly paired with a 0.5-meter cable probe and a 5.0-meter system Proximitor, mixing with 9.0-meter or other mismatched systems is prohibited. During on-site routing, the cable bend radius must not be less than 25.4 mm, and over-pulling must be avoided. The ClickLoc coaxial connectors must be locked with a distinct "click" sound and kept strictly clean from water and oil, with protective sleeves highly recommended.
It is a 3300 XL series 8mm Extension Cable manufactured by Bently Nevada. It serves as a core interconnecting cable within the eddy current proximity transducer system, linking the probe to the Proximitor sensor (preamplifier).
How to properly install and use 330130-045-01-00?
One end should be connected to a 3300 XL 8mm probe (typically with a 0.5m integrated cable to form a 5.0m system length), and the other end to the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor. After mating, the connection must be sealed with a connector protector or heat-shrink tubing to prevent oil or water ingress.
Why is the armored option of 330130-045-01-00 important?
The stainless steel armor provided by the -01 option protects the internal coaxial cable from mechanical wear, cutting damages, sharp equipment edges, and rodent bites. It is ideal for open routing or harsh environmental conditions.
What type of connectors are on both ends of 330130-045-01-00?
One end is configured with a miniature coaxial male plug, and the other end with a miniature coaxial female jack. The connectors are typically made of gold-plated brass to ensure low contact resistance.
Can the length of 330130-045-01-00 be cropped or spliced manually?
The calibration of the eddy current system heavily depends on the cable's inductance and capacitance (electrical length). Cropping or splicing the cable will alter its physical impedance, causing severe measurement errors or system failure.
