The CPS01 belongs to the Symphony Harmony Distributed Control System platform architecture as a control-level system redundant power supply module. This module utilizes a specialized heavy industrial slot-in rack structure and must be installed into designated slots within IPCHS01 or IPCHS02 power chassis, mating via integrated high-current busbar connectors at the bottom.

It is not compatible with standard DIN rail mounting. Its core function is to convert incoming AC or DC power into multiple channels of high-precision, low-ripple core control power within the system rack, directly supplying central controllers, bus communication modules, network interfaces, and distributed I/O backplanes. In terms of underlying electrical specifications, the CPS01 module operates across an industrial grid frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz. Its peak inrush current during startup is strictly controlled by hardware to under 15 A, with a maximum duration of 100 milliseconds, and the Total Harmonic Distortion of the input current is below 5%. Active power factor correction occurs via hardware when the input current exceeds 0.5 A, maintaining a power factor above 0.95.
In conjunction with the chassis backplane busbars, this power supply module delivers a 5.1 VDC core bus logic supply, supporting up to 85 A per side, a 25.5 VDC field I/O drive supply, supporting up to 85 A per side, and a ±15.1 VDC analog circuit supply, supporting up to 15 A. The equipment is configured with overload protection, short-circuit stability, and over-temperature interlock features, supporting parallel load sharing and redundancy balancing across a common busbar. It is used in power plants and large petrochemical process industries as a core control power asset to guarantee uninterrupted operation of the DCS system.
