The TC-308-02 is a dedicated Output Smart Slot Jumper Cable for the ICS Triplex Trusted system, used to enable redundant hot-standby connections for output modules. It is used to establish a physical connection between adjacent output slots to support the Smart Slot feature, allowing the replacement of faulty modules without interrupting the field actuator output.

This type of Trusted Communications Cable is designed to provide I/O connection between a faulty Trusted Digital Output module (40 Channel only) and the I/O module occupying the SmartSlot position in a Trusted Controller or Expander Chassis. The SmartSlot end of the cable (SKT1) is fitted with a 96-way type ‘C’ connector housed in a single-width hood. The hood is fitted with an earth braid. The faulty I/O module end is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a special-to-type plastic hood.

When using the TC-308-02 Output Smart Slot jumper cable, ensure it is installed between adjacent output slots logically paired as "Active" and "Standby," and strictly check the locking screws to prevent loose contacts caused by vibration. As it carries 56 critical output signals, you must strictly adhere to the minimum bend radius specifications and protect the Megamide reinforced sleeving from physical abrasion against cabinet edges. Before performing a hot-swap, verify the redundancy status is "Ready" in the software, strictly avoid plugging or unplugging without proper redundancy configuration to ensure the continuous integrity of the output loop at the SIL 3 level.
It should be installed between the Field Termination Assemblies (FTA) on the rear of the chassis, connecting the corresponding interfaces of the main and standby modules, ensuring the locking screws are firmly secured.
