Internally, the 16710-85 utilizes a standard 22 AWG three-conductor twisted shielded structure. Since the voltage output from the accelerometer is relatively weak, it is highly susceptible to interference from nearby strong electromagnetic sources such as variable frequency drives, motor starters, large contactors, and radio transmitters. The three-conductor twisted configuration cancels out common-mode noise induced equally on the conductors, while the overall outer shield builds a physical barrier against external electric fields, ensuring clean and noise-free transmission of low-level acceleration signals over long distances.

The sensor end of the cable features a specialized three-socket moisture-resistant plug that mates perfectly with the MIL-C-5015 receptacle on the accelerometer. The monitor end of the cable features pre-installed standard terminal lugs, which fasten directly to the screw-type terminal blocks of the monitor rack, completely eliminating the tedious process of stripping and tinning wires on-site, thereby significantly shortening installation time and effectively preventing wiring errors. It operates in temperatures from -55°C to +121°C, matching the environmental rating of the accelerometer.
