Product Describe:
3-conductor shielded 22 AWG
armored cable with 3-socket plug at one end
terminal lugs at the other end
Minimum length of 3.0 ft, maximum length of 99 ft
The 16710-25 is a 25-foot industrial-grade stainless steel armored interconnect cable, developed specifically for 330400 and 330425 accelerometers. Featuring 3-conductor shielded 22 AWG wire, the cable delivers outstanding EMI immunity, oil resistance, flame retardancy, and wear protection, with a 3-socket sensor plug on one end and terminal lugs on the other to ensure stable transmission of casing acceleration signals from critical machinery to downstream monitoring modules like the 3500 system in harsh environments.
The metal armor delivers exceptional crush, tensile, and shear resistance
The outer jacket features outstanding oil resistance, flame retardancy, and chemical corrosion protection
Combines rigid protection with a 2.5-inch bending radius for rapid deployment in narrow trays or conduits
These accelerometers are intended for critical machinery applications where casing acceleration measurements are required, such as gear mesh monitoring. The 330400 is compliant with the requirements of American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 670 for accelerometers. It provides an amplitude range of 50 g peak and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The 330425 is identical except it provides a larger amplitude range (75 g peak) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g. To ensure the integrity of these precise 100 mV/g and 25 mV/g voltage signals, the 16710-25 cable utilizes high-density internal shielding to block high-frequency electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference common in harsh industrial environments.
The exterior features a rugged stainless steel armor conduit that protects the 22 AWG internal conductors from extreme mechanical impact, crushing, crushing weights, and sharp edges during installation and routine operation. The chemical-resistant outer jacket prevents degradation from moisture, synthetic lubricants, and corrosive process fluids, making it suitable for continuous service on high-speed turbines, large compressors, and heavy gearboxes in the petrochemical, power generation, and heavy manufacturing sectors.

Petrochemical & Refining
Connects casing accelerometers on critical centrifugal compressors and high-pressure pumps to monitor high-frequency vibrations and prevent catastrophic failures.
Thermal Power Generation
Links sensors on steam turbines, boiler feed pumps, and cooling tower fans to ensure continuous power output and early fault detection.
Wind Power
Connects vibration sensors on the main gearbox and generator bearings within the nacelle to track gear mesh and bearing wear in harsh, high-altitude environments.
Hydroelectric Power
Monitors high-capacity water turbines, thrust bearings, and generators to detect mechanical looseness or hydraulic imbalances.
Nuclear Power
Transmits vibration data from reactor coolant pumps and secondary-loop turbine-generator sets under strict safety and EMI shielding requirements.
Oil & Gas Extraction
Deployed on offshore drilling platforms and onshore pipelines to monitor gas turbines and multiphase pumps against mechanical damage.
Avoid sharp kinking or dead bends caused by pressure on the metal armor, ensuring the minimum bending radius is strictly maintained during routing. The cable shield must be grounded at the cabinet side only; dual-ended grounding is strictly prohibited to prevent ground loop interference. Splicing or cutting in the field is forbidden, and any damaged cable must be replaced entirely to avoid weak vibration signal distortion. Additionally, when deployed in hazardous locations like Zone 1, it must be paired strictly with intrinsically safe barriers to comply with explosion-proof regulations.

Technical notes
The Bently Nevada 16710-25 is a 25-foot, 3-conductor, 22 AWG armored shielded cable developed for 330400/330425 accelerometers, featuring a stainless steel armor that delivers exceptional crushing, oil, and wear resistance for harsh industrial environments. Its low-impedance configuration ensures attenuation-free transmission of vibration signals over long distances, supporting explosion protection and single-point grounding to provide a reliable, high-fidelity signal link for 3500 systems.
The 16710-25 is an industrial-grade, 3-conductor shielded armored interconnect cable manufactured by Bently Nevada. It has a total length of 25 feet (approx. 7.62 meters) and is used to establish a physical signal connection between acceleration sensors and monitoring systems.
What are the core physical components of 16710-25?
It consists of 3-conductor 22 AWG shielded wires, an external stainless steel protective armored conduit, a 3-socket sealed plug at one end, and pre-fabricated terminal lugs at the other end.
Which sensors are typically paired with the 16710-25?
It is primarily paired with Bently Nevada 330400 or 330425 industrial accelerometers, serving as part of the configuration options for these sensor systems.
How to properly connect and use the 16710-25 cable in the field?
Screw and tighten the 3-socket plug end onto the field accelerometer, route the cable along the tray, and finally secure the terminal lugs at the other end to the terminal block in the central cabinet.
What electrical protection properties does 16710-25 possess?
It features an overall 3-conductor shielded structure, which effectively blocks electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) in industrial areas, ensuring that weak machine vibration signals do not distort.
