The 330190-040-00-05 is a 3300 XL series Extended Temperature Range (ETR) proximity transducer extension cable suitable for extreme and harsh industrial environments. This product is primarily used to connect Proximitor Sensors with proximity probes, providing highly reliable signal transmission in high-temperature, high-vibration industrial sites such as steam turbines, compressors, and other rotating machinery.
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
One 3300 XL extension cable
One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The 330190 Proximitor Sensor is a core component of the 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer system. The complete system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, allowing the measurement of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The primary applications include vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers advanced performance in eddy current proximity transducer technology. When configured as a standard 5-meter or 9-meter system, it fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Pulp and Paper Mills
Processes roll vibration and bearing wear signals from high-speed paper-making press sections operating in high-humidity environments.
When using the cable, strictly observe its minimum bend radius to avoid internal coax damage, and ensure the ClickLoc connectors are fully locked and insulated using connector protectors to prevent oil or moisture ingress. Maintain a clean, dry installation environment, never exceed its 260°C temperature limit, and ensure the total system length perfectly matches the Proximitor sensor calibration (typically 5m or 9m) to avoid measurement errors.
Featuring a premium fluoropolymer jacket, the product offers an ultra-wide temperature range from -51°C to +260°C along with excellent oil and corrosion resistance. Equipped with ClickLoc quick-locking connectors at both ends, it is designed to pair with a 1.0-meter probe to form a standard 5.0-meter total system loop. Complying with international hazardous area intrinsically safe certifications, it is dedicated to ensuring high-fidelity RF signal transmission in extreme high-temperature industrial sites like steam and gas turbines, achieving precise vibration and displacement monitoring for critical rotating machinery.
This is a 3300 XL series Extended Temperature Range (ETR) eddy current proximity transducer extension cable manufactured by Bently Nevada.
How to correctly connect and use 330190-040-00-05 on an industrial site?
It features ClickLoc coaxial connectors at both ends. In application, one end connects to the tail of a 1.0-meter 3300 XL eddy current probe, and the other end connects to the signal input of a 330180 Proximitor Sensor.
What is the RF characteristic impedance of the 330190-040-00-05 coaxial cable?
It is a dedicated high-frequency coaxial cable with a nominal impedance of 75 Ohms (75 Ω) to ensure the distortion-free transmission of high-frequency microwave RF signals.
What are the primary industrial fields where 330190-040-00-05 is applied?
It is widely used in harsh rotating machinery monitoring with severe temperature variations, such as inside steam turbine high-temperature casings, aerospace engine test stands, and chemical plant ultra-high pressure ammonia compressors.
What is the minimum bend radius of 330190-040-00-05 during installation and routing?
Its standard minimum bend radius is 25.4 mm (1.0 inch). Over-bending can damage the internal coaxial shielding and alter the loop impedance.
