The 330101-04-28-10-02-00 is an unarmored 3300 XL 8mm proximity probe with a 3/8-24 UNF thread, manufactured by Bently Nevada for its eddy current transducer systems. To ensure maximum application flexibility, the 3300 XL transducer series fully supports interchangeable Bently Nevada probes available in various lengths, armoring options, and connector types.
TipLoc Technology: 2.5x stronger tip-body bonding than legacy models
CableLoc System withstands 330N pull force
Optional FluidLoc prevents oil leakage with IP68-rated sealing
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Power Generation
Monitors shaft vibration and axial displacement of gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators to prevent rotor rubbing caused by thermal expansion or imbalance.
Petrochemical & Refining Industry
Monitors the speed and axial thrust of core hydrocracking compressors and FCCU axial blowers to prevent catastrophic explosions or gas leakage accidents.
Iron & Steel / Metallurgy Industry
Monitors bearing clearances and vibration of blast furnace blowers and main drive systems of large rolling mills to avoid downtime caused by overload.
Hydroelectric Power
Monitors the radial runout and thrust bearing oil film clearance of hydro-turbine generator shafts to evaluate hydraulic imbalance and mechanical wear.
Cement Manufacturing Industry
Monitors the axial and radial runout of bearing housings on large fans, such as cement kiln ID fans and raw mill fans, in high-wear environments.
Pulp & Paper Industry
Used for vibration analysis of paper machine drying cylinders, large refiners, and pulper drive shafts to prevent bearing damage caused by eccentric operation.
Three critical rules for operation. First, precisely adjust the installation gap to -10 VDC for optimal linearity. Second, do not overtighten (max 22.6 N·m), protect the ceramic tip from impact, and eliminate target magnetic residue to avoid data distortion. Lastly, this 1.0-meter probe must strictly pair with a 4.0-meter extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor, never mix mismatched lengths or models.
The 330101-04-28-10-02-00 functions as a 3300 XL 8mm proximity probe with a 3/8-24 UNF thread configuration, featuring an overall case length of 2.8 inches and a 1.0-meter integral cable. The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
It is a probe component within the Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm eddy current proximity transducer system, utilized to measure the distance between the probe tip and an observed conductive surface.
