The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.

All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

 When utilizing this standard threaded probe, field technicians must strictly verify that the unthreaded segment and overall case length conform to the 4.0-inch rigid geometric specifications and precisely control the initial mechanical installation gap between the probe tip and the target shaft surface.

Given that its integrated 0.5-meter coaxial cable features a high-density electromagnetic shielding construction, the minimum physical bend radius must not be less than 25.4 mm during field routing.

When connecting this short tail cable to the corresponding extension cable and Proximitor Sensor to form a 5-meter or 9-meter monitoring loop, the ClickLoc coaxial connector must be fully locked by manual finger-tightening.

Once secured, original protective sleeving should be applied to achieve a complete physical seal around the junction, isolating the physical signal path from the ingress of high-pressure oil mist or humid condensing steam around the bearing housing.
