The 22811-00-04-10-02 is an API 670 compliant, 7200 Series 8mm non-contacting eddy current proximity probe. This model features a 40 mm fully threaded case for flexible installation and precise adjustment in compact spaces, and includes a 1.0-meter low-loss integral cable to ensure lossless signal transmission. The cable is fully enclosed in a stainless steel armor sleeve and equipped with a patented, loosen-preventing ClickLoc miniature coaxial connector. It delivers exceptional resistance to vibration, pulling, and electromagnetic interference, making it ideal for shaft vibration and axial position monitoring on rotating machinery such as steam turbines and compressors.
Axial Position Measurement: Tracks thrust bearing wear
Speed Sensing: Detects keyphasor events and RPM
The 7200 5 mm and 8 mm Proximity Transducer Systems are non-contacting, gap-to-voltage transducer systems that measure static as well as dynamic distances between the probe tip and the observed target. The general application is any requirement for an accurate, non-contacting displacement measurement. However, the most common use is for shaft position and vibration measurements on rotating and reciprocating machinery.
They are designed for use with virtually any machine type including gas and steam turbines, compressors, pumps, centrifuges, electric motors and generators. The systems offer 80 mils (2 mm) of linear measuring range and are compatible with API 670 requirements. A system consists of a probe with integral coaxial cable, an extension cable, and a Proximitor. All 7200 proximity transducer systems are compatible with 3300 and 9000 Monitoring Systems.

Power Generation
Measures radial shaft vibration and thrust (axial) position in large-scale steam turbines to prevent rotor-to-stator rubbing.
Oil and Gas
Continuously monitors high-speed compressor shafts in natural gas pipelines to detect aerodynamic instability or surge.
Petrochemical & Chemical Processing
Measures rod drop (crosshead alignment) and crankcase vibration to predict valve or piston ring failures.
Iron and Steel / Metallurgy
Measures dynamic shaft vibration on heavy-duty air blowers supplying oxygen to blast furnaces.
Pulp and Paper
Controls and monitors the microscopic gaps between refining discs to ensure consistent pulp quality.
Mining and Minerals
Monitors shaft deflection caused by heavy solid impacts and abrasive slurry wear in mining pumps.
When using the Bently Nevada 22811-00-04-10-02 probe, ensure precise mechanical alignment by adjusting the initial gap voltage to -9.0 Vdc (the linear midpoint) using a digital multimeter. Maintain proper system calibration matching, verifying that the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor are all from the 7200 Series and calibrated for the specific target material.
Protect the hardware by avoiding over-tightening during installation to prevent case deformation, keeping the stainless steel armor sleeve free from sharp kinks, and ensuring the ClickLoc connector is fully locked and insulated from cross-talk and oil contamination. Finally, eliminate electrical and mechanical runout on the shaft surface to avoid false vibration readings.
Bently 7200 series 8mm eddy current shaft proximity probe. Features an M10×1×40mm threaded case and a 1.0m cable with miniature male coaxial connector.
It is an 8 mm standard mount proximity displacement probe sensor from the classic Bently Nevada 7200 series.
Which industrial control or monitoring systems does the 22811-00-04-10-02 belong to?
It belongs to the Machinery Monitoring System and rotating machinery safety protection systems.
What is the thread specification of the 22811-00-04-10-02 physical case?
Its base model designates that the case uses an M10 x 1 metric thread.
How to correctly install and use the 22811-00-04-10-02?
It must be threaded vertically into a fixed bracket on the bearing housing to maintain a preset physical gap between the probe tip and the measured shaft surface, and connected to an extension cable via the coaxial connector at the end.
What physical quantities of rotating machinery does the 22811-00-04-10-02 primarily measure?
It is primarily used for non-contact measurement of radial shaft vibration, axial thrust position, or rotational speed within the bearings of steam turbines and compressors.
