- Engineering check: Verify bus order, connector seating, screw retention, cable continuity and the absence of an unintended second termination.
- System boundary: Only the documented end of the CEX-Bus chain is to be terminated; an additional terminator can disrupt communication.

Installed on the last unit of an AC 800M CEX-Bus, exactly as required by ABB.
BC810 interconnection assemblies
Used as one of the two TB850 terminators supplied in ABB's BC810K02 CEX-Bus interconnection package.
BC820 redundant-controller interconnection
Used as one of the two TB850 terminators supplied in ABB's BC820K02 CEX-Bus interconnection package.
System 800xA or Compact AC 800M cabinets
Provides the specified end termination in controller communication-bus layouts; it is not an I/O module.

Do not substitute TB851: TB850 is DB25P male, while ABB lists TB851 as DB25S female for a different termination position/topology.

Secure the screw fixing and inspect the DB25 connector for damage before energizing the controller system.
