ABB FEN-01 is a TTL encoder interface for supported ABB drives, providing two TTL encoder inputs, one encoder output and two position-latch inputs.
- X31 differential A/B/Z encoder input
- X32 A/B/Z plus U/V/W commutation and PTC input
- X33 TTL encoder emulation or echo output
- X34 two position-latch inputs; 500 kHz maximum channel frequency
Installed in a supported drive option slot, or through an approved FEA-03 adapter where specified, FEN-01 supports closed-loop speed and position feedback, commutation sensing, encoder signal distribution and position latching. ABB documentation identifies ACS850, ACS880 and DCS880 applications. ABB's current loose-item order code is 68805422; the requested 68679273 lookup code has no confirmed relationship in the cited ABB public sources and should be checked against a physical nameplate.
Important Notice: Encoder, cables, connectors, FEA-03 adapter, manuals and other accessories are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation or stock description.
Apter Power FEN-01 68679273 Manuals and Guides
Important Notice: These are two separate Apter Power documents independently prepared from manufacturer-published ABB information. Confirm the physical nameplate, current ABB documents, and host-system requirements before configuration or installation. They do not replace official ABB manuals.
Closed-Loop Speed
Processes differential TTL encoder feedback for closed-loop motor speed control in supported ABB drives.
Position & Latching
Provides position feedback and two X34 inputs for capturing position-latch events.
Commutation & PTC
X32 accepts U/V/W commutation signals and a PTC thermistor input in addition to A/B/Z.
Encoder Distribution
X33 provides encoder echo or emulation for signal distribution or drive-generated position pulses.
Use the complete ABB identity and the current host-system documentation before installation, replacement or commissioning.
1Confirm the physical nameplate and current ABB order code; ABB currently publishes 68805422.
2Select the 5.5 V or 24 V encoder supply correctly before connecting the encoder.
3Verify X31, X32, X33 and X34 assignments against the FEN-01 user manual.
4Keep the differential encoder channel frequency at or below ABB’s 500 kHz limit.
5Do not assume FEN-11, FEN-21 or FEN-31 is interchangeable; their feedback technologies differ.
