      The Honeywell FC-USI-0001 V1.3 is a Universal Safety Interface (USI) module, part of the Safety Manager control system designed for high-reliability, critical industrial applications. It is used to connect field devices to safety systems, often utilized in fire and gas or emergency shutdown systems.

      The user is able to exchange “not safety-related” Safety Manager Controllermodules while the Safety Manager Controller continues operation. Thecommunication module type USI-0001 and the battery and key switch moduletype BKM-0001 can be swapped on-line without stopping the affected controlprocessor .

      System components, including probes, extension cables, and sensors, are fully interchangeable, eliminating the need for individual calibration. The probe is also backward compatible with other 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm components, allowing flexible installation for new systems and retrofit applications.
