The 330103-00-05-90-12-00 is a standard 8 mm metric proximity probe belonging to the Bently Nevada 3300 XL series. This specific model features an M10 by 1 thread, a 50 mm case length, and an extended 9.0 meter total cable length equipped with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector. It is uniquely configured with a FluidLoc cable to prevent oil or other fluids from leaking out through the inside of the cable.

Operating on eddy current principles, the system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static position and dynamic vibration values. The primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems.The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 9-meter system configuration also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute API 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.

All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

 During installation, precisely adjust the initial gap to the center of its linear range, typically corresponding to minus 10 Vdc, and maintain a side clearance of at least twice the probe tip diameter to eliminate electromagnetic interference from surrounding metals. Avoid excessive pulling during routing and ensure the bend radius of its long cable remains above 25.4 mm. Benefiting from the integrated 9.0 meter FluidLoc cable, the Miniature Coaxial ClickLoc connector must be kept completely clean and dry before connection, and it must be tightened by hand only—never use tools.

Lastly, this probe must connect directly to a matching 9 meter system Proximitor sensor, and it is strictly forbidden to mix it with a 5 meter system Proximitor or add an extra extension cable, as this will cause severe measurement errors.
