Information
- Bently Nevada 3300/03-03-00 coordinates rack-wide supervision and dynamic-data access while the individual 3300 monitors perform their assigned measurements.
System family: 3300 Monitoring System
Keyphasor inputs: Four via the Power Input Module
Agency option: 00 - Not Required
Rack supervision covers seven supply rails and provides a front-panel SUPPLIES OK indication. Power-up inhibit suppresses monitor alarms while supplies establish their operating levels; the specified delay is 2.1 ± 1 seconds. External rack inhibit bypasses the monitors, disables alarms, drives outputs to zero scale and de-energizes the system OK relay. System reset is available from the front-panel switch or external contacts on the Power Input Module. Trip Multiply raises Alert and Danger setpoints by 2X or 3X only on monitors ordered with the corresponding option.
Four Keyphasor transducer inputs enter through the Power Input Module. Two signals are available to rack monitors, while all four are available to the DDI; buffered signals are also accessible at the front-panel coaxial connectors. The transducer power is short-circuit protected. The system-monitor -VT jumpers must agree with the power-supply selection of -18 V DC or -24 V DC. Operation is specified from 0 to +65 °C with 0 to 95% noncondensing humidity; configuration and service require the appropriate rack isolation and functional checks.

Functional applications: The following uses describe rack supervision and data access. Measurement capability and protective action depend on the fitted monitors, transducers, relay arrangement and approved machine configuration.
-
Dynamic-data acquisition
Combine the DDI with compatible monitor firmware and the correct host interface to collect dynamic and static machinery data. Preserve the installed communication configuration. -
Rack health supervision
Use SUPPLIES OK and the normally energized system OK relay to identify supply or connected transducer-system problems. Interpret a not-OK condition separately from a machinery alarm. -
Speed-reference distribution
Distribute Keyphasor references through the PIM, with two signals available to rack monitors and four to the DDI. Match signal assignments and front-panel buffered test connections. -
Startup and coastdown coordination
Use an approved Trip Multiply configuration during operating conditions with temporarily elevated vibration. Only monitors equipped for this option respond to the selected 2X or 3X multiplication.
Power down the rack before installing or removing the System Monitor. Coordinate the loss of monitoring with the approved machinery operating procedure.
Record the installed data-interface boards and jumper positions before service. Do not assume that an unconfigured replacement has the correct communication arrangement.
Set the System Monitor and supply -VT selections to the same -18 V DC or -24 V DC value. Check the connected transducer requirements before energization.
Rack inhibit disables all alarms, zero-scales outputs and de-energizes the OK relay. Control and clear this condition through the approved commissioning procedure.
Trip Multiply affects only monitors ordered with the option. Preserve their intended 2X or 3X selection and confirm the initiating contact logic.
Verify the supply indicators and system functions, then check each assigned Keyphasor input and communication path. Resolve abnormal results before returning the machinery monitoring system to service.

Technical notes
System relationship: Match the SDI/DDI backplane, 3300/12 or applicable 3300/14 supply, PIM and individual monitor firmware.
Configuration boundary: The -03 data-interface option is DDI and the -00 agency option is Not Required. Rack backplane, power supply, monitor firmware and jumper settings must form a compatible system.

FAQ View All FAQ
-
What does the -03 option mean on 3300/03-03-00?It identifies the Dynamic Data Interface configuration. The internal DDI occupies the system-monitor position and requires a compatible rack, supply and individual monitor firmware.
-
How many Keyphasor inputs does 3300/03-03-00 receive? It receives four Keyphasor inputs through the PIM. Two are available to rack monitors, all four are available to the DDI, and buffered signals are accessible at the front-panel coaxial connectors.
-
What happens when rack inhibit is applied to 3300/03-03-00?The rack monitors enter bypass, alarms are disabled, outputs go to zero scale and the system OK relay de-energizes. The inhibit contacts connect through the PIM.
-
How does 3300/03-03-00 supervise supply health?Seven internal indicators show the individual supply rails, and the front-panel SUPPLIES OK indicator reports that all supplies are functional. Power-up inhibit prevents alarm operation while supplies establish their operating levels.
-
Which transducer voltage settings are available on 3300/03-03-00?The -VT jumper selection is -18 V DC or -24 V DC. The System Monitor and power supply must use the same selection; the Keyphasor transducer supply is short-circuit protected.
-
Does 3300/03-03-00 multiply every monitor alarm setpoint? No. Trip Multiply changes the Alert and Danger setpoints only for monitors ordered with that feature, by their specified 2X or 3X amount. A contact closure on the PIM activates the function.
-
What environmental limits apply to 3300/03-03-00?The System Monitor operates from 0 to +65 °C and may be stored from -40 to +85 °C. Relative humidity is 0 to 95%, noncondensing.
-
Can 3300/03-03-00 be installed in any 3300 backplane? No. The DDI system requires an SDI/DDI-compatible backplane, suitable power supply and compatible monitor firmware. Original and upgraded backplanes and power supplies cannot be freely interchanged.
