        1771-OBD is a Digital Output Module
      • What is a digital output module?
        The Digital Output Module takes a Boolean input and sends it out a hardware channel as a constant level or a pulse. This provides the ability to signal and control external digital devices (such as relays) from the meter.
      • What is a digital output?
        Digital outputs are binary outputs (0 or 1, also called as high and low level) from the PLC. It is a processed control output from the PLC to the field. It is used to ON or OFF any piece of field equipment. It is like a contact of a relay when the preprogrammed conditions are satisfied the contacts are closed.
      • What are examples of digital output devices?
        Some common examples of output devices are monitors or displays, printers, speakers, headphones, projectors, and even tactile devices like braille readers.
