1771-DS Latching Input Module detects and latches pulses of 0.1 to 5.0 ms duration from optical transmitters that have isolated pulse and gate outputs. You select the mode of input operation: independent for a single-pulse environment, or paired for a multi-pulse environment.em. The 1.5 mm (60 mils) of linear range exceeds the linear range of the 3000-series 190 Transducer System.
1771-DS accommodates the connection of 14 to 22 AWG field wiring through a dedicated 1771 wiring arm, which isolates field wiring from the module during replacement. This hardware provides status display via eight front-panel logic indicators that correspond directly to each input circuit. To enforce physical slot alignment and prevent incorrect module insertion into the chassis, the backplane connector uses mechanical keying bands positioned specifically between chassis pins 4 and 24.
