The 1756-L83E is a programmable automation controller module within the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5580 series by Rockwell Automation. This product includes 10 MB of user memory, one 1 Gbps embedded Ethernet port, one USB 2.0 port, as well as a factory-included 2 GB SD memory card, a built-in energy storage module, and a status display screen, designed to be installed in a 1756 chassis to function as the core processing unit of the system.

In terms of physical and electrical specifications, the unit draws 1.2 Amperes of current at 5.1 Volts DC from the backplane and has a maximum thermal dissipation rating of 21.2 BTU per hour (equivalent to 6.2 Watts of power dissipation).
