      • What is a digital input example?
        Digital inputs are the most common type of input in PLC systems. They operate based on binary signals, which can be either HIGH (ON) or LOW (OFF). These inputs are derived from devices that can only be in one of two states, such as push buttons, limit switches, or proximity sensors.
      • What is a digital input output?
        A digital I/O board is an interface board that adds the ability to input and output digital signals in parallel to a computer. Using a digital I/O device makes it possible to monitor (read) the statuses of measuring devices as well as the relays and operation switches of various types of control circuits.
      • What is a digital input in a PLC?
        Digital inputs are binary inputs (0 or 1, also called as high and low level) that are applied to the PLC. Binary inputs are basically voltages, varying from 5 V to 230 V depending upon the type of card used. In simple words, any push-button, switches or sensors produces digital inputs to a PLC.
