The 990-04-70-01-05 is a 2-wire loop-powered vibration transmitter belonging to the Bently Nevada 990 series. A complete system includes the transmitter, a 3300 NSv proximity probe, and a matching extension cable. This full ordering code specifies a 0-4 mils pp full-scale range, a 7.0-meter system length, 35 mm DIN rail mounting, and multiple agency explosion-proof approvals, converting eddy current gap signals into a proportional 4-20 mA output.

The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).
The transmitter conditions the signal into appropriate peak to-peak vibration amplitude engineering units, and provides this value as a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal as the input to the control system where machinery protection alarming and logic occurs.

When using 990-04-70-01-05, note that it is a vibration transmitter only designed for measuring peak-to-peak vibration, and cannot be used for axial displacement monitoring.
During installation, ensure the total system length is exactly 7.0 meters, and secure it using a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The 2-wire loop must be supplied with 12 to 35 Vdc, and intrinsically safe wiring regulations must be strictly followed in hazardous areas.
