Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The 330752-25-CN is part of the 3300 series High Temperature Velomitor manufactured by Bently Nevada, specifically model 330752, with a special configuration.
    • Wide-Band Velocity Signal Output
    • Physical Isolation and Signal Conditioning
    • Ultra-High Temperature Vibration Measurement
The 330750 and 330752 High Temperature Velomitor System sensor head and integral cable are designed for high temperature environments. This enables you to mount the sensing head on surfaces with temperatures up to +400°C (+752°F).The cable enables you to position the signal conditioning electronics in a cooler location. The internal electronics withstands temperatures of 55°C to +121°C (-67°F to +250°F). The integrated design makes it possible to capture machinery performance data comparable to other Bently Nevada Velomitor transducers, but at significantly higher temperatures. For lower temperature environments, use the standard 330500 Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. You can install it in locations with a maximum operating temperature of +121°C (+250°F).

Thermal Power
Installed on the high-pressure (HP) and intermediate-pressure (IP) main bearing housings of supercritical or ultra-supercritical steam turbines, as well as high-temperature/high-pressure main steam valve casings, to monitor absolute casing vibration caused by thermal expansion or mass imbalance.

Nuclear Power
Applied in the vibration monitoring of steam turbine trains, high-pressure heater systems, and large condensate pump casings within the conventional island of nuclear power plants, providing asset protection signals in conjunction with the overall system.

Iron and Steel
Monitors the absolute vibration of blast furnace blowers, high-power induced draft fans in sintering plants, and hot rolling mill roll bearing housings, isolating the sensor from steel mill thermal radiation and extreme surface temperatures.

Pulp and Paper
Used for mechanical absolute velocity measurements on the gearboxes of high-temperature steam joints in dryer sections and rolling bearing housings in the dry end of paper machines, resisting enclosed humid-heat and high-temperature oil mist environments.
When using the 330752-25-CN sensor system, First, the sensor head, cable, and electronics feature a non-detachable, permanently bonded construction, meaning damage to any part requires a full system replacement, and the hardline cable must never be bent at sharp angles during routing. Second, it requires zoned installation; the front-end sensor head can contact hot surfaces up to +400°C, but the rear-end electronics must be mounted in a cooler location below +121°C. Third, for mechanical mounting, the sensor head must be vertically fastened to a flat, smooth machinery surface strictly according to official torque specs, and the shield must be properly grounded to isolate electromagnetic interference and prevent signal distortion.

FAQS

  • What is the 330752-25-CN?
It is a High Temperature Velomitor (Vibration) Sensor System produced by Bently Nevada [Bently Nevada]. It consists of an ultra-high temperature sensor head, a 2.5-meter integral hardline cable, and a separate signal conditioning electronics unit.
  • What is the primary use of the 330752-25-CN?
It is used to measure the absolute casing vibration (velocity) on the surfaces of extreme high-temperature industrial machinery, such as gas and steam turbines, providing machinery condition monitoring data.
  • How is the 330752-25-CN installed and used in practice?
The sensor head is threaded directly onto the hot machine casing. The integral hardline cable routs the signal conditioning electronics to a cooler location for mounting. Finally, an extension cable connects the electronics to a 3500 monitoring system or DCS.
  • Does the 330752-25-CN require an external power supply, and what is its powering method?
It does not require a separate power cable; it is loop-powered via a two-wire connection using a constant current source (typically 2 to 10 mA bias current) provided by the Bently 3500 monitor channel or a transmitter.
  • What must be considered when mounting the sensor head of the 330752-25-CN?
The mounting surface must be flat and smooth. It must be fastened strictly according to the official tightening torque specs (preventing over-tightening or looseness), and the hardline cable must not exceed its minimum bend radius when routed.
