The 330173-00-04-20-12-05 is a 3300 series 5 mm proximity transducer probe featuring an M8×1 threaded body with 0 mm unthreaded length, a 40 mm case length, and a 2.0-meter total cable length. When combined with a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and XL extension cable, the system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The system measures both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data. It functions in vibration and position measurement applications on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor measurement and speed measurement applications.

The system provides an accurate, stable signal output over a wide temperature range. All 3300 XL Proximity Transducer Systems achieve this level of performance with complete interchangeability of probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor, eliminating the need for individual component matching or bench calibration.This specific configuration improves upon older non-contacting sensor hardware. A patented TipLoc molding method provides a more robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body.

Crucially, the -12-05 configuration incorporates the FluidLoc cable option, which physically blocks oil and other process liquids from leaking out of the machine housing through the cable’s interior. Furthermore, the -05 option certifies the hardware with Multiple Agency Approvals, allowing safe deployment and compliance within hazardous, explosion-prone industrial environments.
