The 330104-00-05-90-02-05 is a 3300 XL 8mm series non-contacting eddy current proximity probe. This model features a 3/8-24 English unarmored threaded case, supports a 9.0-meter total system length, includes a ClickLoc coaxial connector with a protector.
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
One 3300 XL extension cable
One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Conventional Thermal Power Generation
Installed on the main bearings of high-pressure cylinders in steam turbine-generator sets to continuously monitor radial shaft vibration under high speeds.
Nuclear Power Generation
Monitors the axial displacement of low-pressure rotors in large saturated steam turbines within nuclear reactor primary loops for over-limit protection.
Hydroelectric Power Generation
Used for measuring shaft runout and displacement at upper guide, lower guide, and thrust bearing frames of giant vertical hydro-generators.
Wind Power Generation
Installed on the input/output shafts of step-up gearboxes in high-capacity wind turbines to analyze early bearing eccentricity and shaft vibration.
Petroleum Refining Industry
Used in bearing housings of flue gas turbines and rich-gas compressors within heavy oil catalytic cracking units to monitor dynamic shaft runout in real time.
Air Separation Industry
Used for radial vibration measurement of high-speed small rotors in single or multi-stage integrally geared centrifugal air compressors of ultra-large air separation units.
When using the 330104-00-05-90-02-05 probe, it must be strictly matched with a 9.0-meter system cable and Proximitor, with the static gap voltage precisely adjusted to the -10.0 VDC linear midpoint using a multimeter during installation. The locknut must be tightened to specification and secured with safety wire, and the coaxial connector must be manually locked and sealed with oil-resistant self-fusing tape after mating.
The 330104-00-05-90-02-05 probe tip is molded from high-strength, chemically resistant PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) engineering plastic, while its main body is constructed of 304 stainless steel for exceptional mechanical rigidity. A patented liquid-tight hermetic welding and multi-layer chemical sealing process joins the probe tip to the stainless steel case, allowing it to withstand high temperatures, high pressures, and continuous lube oil flushing inside large industrial turbines and high-pressure compressor bearing housings, which effectively prevents oil from leaking outward via capillary action through the probe internals.
