A high-precision vibration probe designed for Bently Nevada monitoring systems
It provides accurate non-contact vibration and displacement measurement, ensuring reliable performance for critical rotating and reciprocating machinery applications
The Bently Nevada 7200 5 mm / 8 mm Series Proximity Transducer Systems are noncontacting, gap-to-voltage transducer systems designed to measure both static and dynamic distances between the probe tip and the observed target. They are widely used wherever accurate, noncontacting displacement measurement is required, with the most common applications being shaft position and vibration monitoring.
These systems are suitable for use with virtually any type of machinery, including gas and steam turbines, compressors, pumps, centrifuges, electric motors, and generators. They provide a linear measuring range of 80 mils (2 mm) and are designed to be compatible with API 670 requirements, ensuring reliable performance in critical rotating and reciprocating machinery applications.
A system consists of a probe with integral coaxial cable, an extension cable, and Proximitor. All 7200 proximity transducer systems are compatible with 3300 and 9000 Monitoring Systems.

Oil & Gas
Monitoring shaft orbit to prevent bearing damage caused by surge conditions.
Power Generation
Measuring radial vibration and axial thrust of the main shaft to prevent rotor-to-stator contact.
Steel & Metallurgy
Monitoring bearing vibration of large blowers to avoid unplanned downtime due to imbalance.
Paper & Pulp
Monitoring bearing wear conditions in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
Cement Industry
Measuring excessive shaft vibration caused by dust accumulation or wear on the impellers.
Nuclear Power
Ensuring highest reliability monitoring for core power components of the cooling system.
When using the 21504-0000-012-05-02 proximity probe, the priority is to precisely calibrate the mounting gap via the Proximitor’s output voltage to ensure it remains within the 80-mil linear range. During installation, strictly adhere to minimum target size and side clearance requirements to prevent cross-talk or sensitivity distortion, while protecting coaxial connectors from oil contamination and excessive cable bending. Due to its electromagnetic nature, ensure the shaft material matches the probe's calibration (typically 4140 steel), and regularly inspect cable insulation to prevent signal interference or nuisance trips caused by environmental wear.
It belongs to the 7200 Transducer Series but is fully compatible with 3300 and 3500 monitoring racks.
How to install the 21504-0000-012-05-02?
Thread it into the tapped hole on the machine bearing housing and set the correct gap based on the Proximitor’s voltage output.
What connector does 21504-0000-012-05-02 support?
The "02" at the end indicates it is equipped with a miniature male coaxial connector.
Is the 21504-0000-012-05-02 still in production?
The 7200 series is in its late life cycle and is typically replaced by the 3300 XL 8mm series.
