Information
- Rexroth DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS supports local positioning sequences in an EcoDrive Cs axis, combining programmed motion blocks with configurable control and status signals.
Firmware: MGP 01VRS, multi-interface general purpose
Digital I/O: 7 configurable inputs and 3 configurable outputs
Positioning: 64 programmable blocks in the MGP positioning-block mode
MGP 01VRS positioning-block mode supports 64 programmed blocks, each with target position, velocity, acceleration, deceleration and jerk settings. DKC10.3 can select blocks through digital inputs and start a block using a positive edge on the positioning-command strobe. Sequential processing links motion blocks without a new start command for each block, enabling rapid approach followed by slower final positioning. The number of blocks available through a particular digital selection depends on the configured input assignment.
The DKC10.3 default input assignment uses IN1–IN4 for positioning-block selection, IN5 for the positioning-command strobe, IN6 for drive enable and IN7 for reset. OUT1 indicates end position reached with no sequential block pending, while OUT2 and OUT3 provide block-acknowledgment bits. The drive also supports jogging through configured inputs. Preserve the actual assignments and motion limits during replacement; factory defaults do not prove the settings of an installed axis.

Platform applications: The following applications describe EcoDrive Cs functions. Match the complete DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS identity to the installed system before selecting a replacement.
-
Programmed positioning
Run stored motion blocks with configured target position, velocity, acceleration, deceleration and jerk. Confirm the machine travel limits and feedback reference before operation. -
Sequential motion
Link a rapid approach to a slower final positioning move. Sequential-block conditions determine the transition, and the final block terminates the chain. -
Local digital control
Use the configurable DKC10.3 digital inputs for block selection, strobe, enable and reset. Match the input assignment to the machine control circuit. -
Jogging and setup
Use configured jog inputs to move the axis in manual setup mode. Keep the working area secured and verify the selected direction and jog velocity.
Retain DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS, the hardware index and actual firmware release. The 012 type-code current designation is not a universal continuous motor-output current.
Qualified personnel must isolate the drive before connector work and follow the manufacturer procedure for stored energy. Secure the axis against unintended movement.
Connect the drive protective earth to the cabinet grounding system and check continuity to the motor. Use an enclosure that maintains the required pollution-degree-2 environment.
Set valid acceleration and deceleration for each positioning block. If both are zero, the drive cannot brake to the commanded target; validate the motion profile before release.
The UL-rated ambient limit at nominal data is 40 °C; operation up to 55 °C requires reduced nominal data. Keep the specified cooling clearances unobstructed.
The stated 40 m maximum motor-cable length applies to ready-made Rexroth cable, ambient temperature at or below 40 °C and a maximum switching frequency of 8 kHz. Do not extend this limit to other cable arrangements.

Technical notes
Installation relationship: MGP 01VRS positioning-block mode supports 64 programmed blocks, each with target position, velocity, acceleration, deceleration and jerk settings.
Configuration: The DKC10.3 basic-device design and MGP 01VRS functions apply. A fieldbus interface requires the corresponding optional communication module; the complete motor and machine configuration must match.

FAQ View All FAQ
-
Does DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS have a built-in fieldbus interface? The DKC10.3 basic device has no master-communication interface. Fieldbus operation requires an appropriate optional communication module and its configuration.
-
How many digital I/O points does DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS provide? The DKC10.3 design provides seven configurable digital inputs and three configurable digital outputs. The assignment must match the installed machine control circuit.
-
How many positioning blocks can DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS use?MGP 01VRS positioning-block mode supports 64 programmed blocks. Access through digital block-selection inputs depends on the configured input assignment.
-
How does DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS start a positioning block? For the DKC10.3 basic device, a positive edge at the configured digital strobe input changes the positioning-command strobe. Drive enable and the required operating-mode conditions must also be satisfied.
-
Which motion settings are available on DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS?Each MGP positioning block has target position, velocity, acceleration, deceleration and jerk settings. Sequential blocks can be linked without a separate start signal for each block.
-
Can DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS use local jogging inputs?Yes. DKC10.3 supports configured jog inputs for manual axis movement. Confirm the jog direction, velocity and safe machine condition before use.
-
What ambient limits apply to DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS?For the applicable EcoDrive Cs UL-rated conditions, nominal data applies up to 40 °C ambient. Operation up to 55 °C requires reduced nominal data and the prescribed installation conditions.
-
What motor-cable limit applies to DKC10.3-012-3-MGP-01VRS?The stated 40 m limit requires ready-made Rexroth motor cable, ambient temperature at or below 40 °C and switching frequency no higher than 8 kHz. It is not a universal limit for other cables or settings.
