Overview Manuals Common Applications Product Precautions
The 341-710-200 is a high-performance Digital Line Card engineered for premium industrial intercom and Public Address/General Alarm (PA/GA) systems. Operating as a critical interface module within the central control cabinet, it bridges the gap between the central processing units and field-deployed digital intercom stations, facilitating reliable mission-critical voice communications.
    • Management of up to 12 digital intercom stations
    • Permanent monitoring of the connected intercom stations and connection cables (interruptions, short circuits)
    • Green LED to indicate operation, red LED to indicate failures
The digital line card 12 DDL 02 serves as interface between the digital intercom stations and the DXC controller and passes on the digitized AF signals as well as the control signals. Digital line interface for each connectable intercom station to transmit the digitized AF signals and control signals Galvanic separation between transmission lines and electronics HDLC interface for the communication with the DXC controller Supply of the intercom stations with max. 100 mA Easy to service connection of intercom stations by a 25-pin Sub-D plug at the front plate.

The card’s architectural integration within the INTRON-D plus framework supports seamless hot-swapping and modular scaling. System administrators can easily add or replace stations via the standard 25-pin Sub-D front interface without compromising the operational uptime of adjacent channels. Each of the 12 ports features localized over-current and short-circuit protection, meaning a single field station wiring failure will be instantly isolated, preventing total system blackout and ensuring continuous alarm readiness for the remaining facility zones.

Offshore Oil and Gas Platforms
It connects explosion-proof digital intercom stations across drilling platforms, ensuring absolute reliability for drilling dispatch and Fire and Gas (F&G) alarm broadcasts in high-wind, high-humidity, and high-noise environments.

Petrochemical Plants and Refineries
It is used to connect emergency call stations in refining and cracking areas, providing one-touch emergency intercom and plant-wide evacuation broadcasts during gas leaks or process anomalies.

Steel and Metallurgical Industry
It connects intercom stations in extreme-noise areas like blast furnaces, converters, and hot rolling lines, utilizing digital high-fidelity audio technology to achieve clear communication under severe EMI conditions.

Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants
Acting as an emergency communication bridge between turbine halls, boiler areas, and control rooms, its galvanic isolation robustly blocks high-voltage surges from impacting the central control system.

Hydropower Plants and Dams
It covers broadcast and intercom for dam spillway zones and underground workshops, where channel-specific short-circuit protection ensures that a single damp-damaged outdoor line will not affect other zones.

Marine and Shipbuilding Industry
Used as the line card for onboard intercom systems on large cargo ships, LNG carriers, or icebreakers, it connects cabins, decks, and the bridge, meeting strict IMO regulations for emergency PA systems.
When using the INDUSTRONIC 341-710-200 (12 DDL 02), ensure high-quality shielded twisted-pair cables are used with proper grounding to prevent EMI audio distortion. The phantom power is strictly limited to 100 mA per channel, requiring precise verification of station power consumption to avoid overloading or misconnecting analog devices. Additionally, the front 25-pin Sub-D plug must be properly aligned and tightly secured against vibration, and official chassis power guidelines should be followed prior to card replacement.

Technical notes

Technical notes

The 341-710-200 features integrated phantom power injection. It directly supplies operational DC power to the connected digital field stations over the same standard twisted-pair communication cables, eliminating the need for localized or secondary external power supplies at each intercom location.
