The T8017 is the Peer to Peer Communications Software Package designated for the Trusted Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) safety control system. Rather than a hardware module, this product is a high-integrity functional safety software utility that executes embedded within existing communications modules such as the T8151B/T8153C and carries full Germany TÜV certification.

Trusted Peer to Peer Communications is provided by the Trusted Communications Interface module (T8150/T8151/T8151B) for the interchange of safety and non-safety information between Trusted Controllers. Up to four Trusted Communications Interface modules may be fitted in each Trusted Controller.The Trusted Peer to Peer Communications Software Package (T8017) utilizes the Black Channel concept via the Safety Network Control Protocol (SNCP), enabling SIL 3 certified, deterministic communication between controllers. It ensures data integrity through CRC verification, manages asynchronous data updates to eliminate jitter, and maintains system safety via adjustable refresh timeouts and fail-safe fallback values.
