The T3419 is a 40-channel Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Digital Input Module designed to interface with field sensors within a Trusted™ controller system. The module provides 40 isolated input points and is architected to meet Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) requirements. Each input channel is triplicated and processed through independent paths to ensure maximum fault tolerance and system availability.

Internal 2-out-of-3 (2oo3) voting logic is performed within the module to ensure that no single internal failure results in a loss of the safety function. The module incorporates comprehensive on-board diagnostics and line monitoring capabilities for the detection of field wiring faults, including open and short circuits. The T3419 supports Hot Replacement within the Trusted™ chassis, allowing for module exchange without process interruption or the need for system re-configuration.
