The IC693CHS397 is a 5-slot expansion baseplate from the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. Formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc, now under Emerson Automation, this baseplate mainly features Five (5) I/O slots, One (1) Power Supply slot, and One (1) expansion port.

Slot configuration: Provides 5 slots (numbered 2 and above) for installing I/O modules or option modules, and there is also a dedicated slot on the left for installing power modules.
System connection: Equipped with a 25 pin D-type female I/O bus expansion connector, used to connect to the CPU main board or other expansion boards through cables.
Cascade capability:
When used in conjunction with CPU 331/340/341, the system can support up to 4 expansion boards.
When paired with CPU 350 or higher versions, up to 7 expansion boards can be supported.
Cannot work independently: must be connected to the main system containing the CPU, and the maximum cable distance from the main motherboard cannot exceed 15 meters (50 feet).
Module support restrictions: Some intelligent modules (such as PCM, CMM, ADC, and BEM330) must be installed on the CPU main board and cannot be installed on such expansion boards.
