        4454-156 is a Shielded Thermocouple Heat Sensor
      • What are the different types of thermocouple sensors?
        Type J, K, T, & E are “Base Metal” thermocouples, the most common types of thermocouples. Type R, S, and B thermocouples are “Noble Metal” thermocouples, which are used in high temperature applications (see thermocouple temperature ranges for details).
      • Is a thermocouple the same as a heat sensor?
        Yes and No, a flame sensor and a thermocouple are two different things, although a thermocouple can also be used as a heat or flame sensor. A flame sensor can just be any heat sensitive device like a resistor, semiconductor, etc.
