The 330500-01-00 Velomitor Sensor is an industrial-grade piezo-velocity sensor used to measure the absolute vibration velocity of rotating machinery bearing housings, casings, or structural components.

Bently Nevada™ Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensors are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The 330500 is a specialized piezoelectric accelerometer that incorporates embedded integrated electronics in a solid-state design. Because the 330500 incorporates solid-state electronics and has no moving parts, it does not suffer from mechanical degradation and wear, and can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at any other angle of orientation.
The 330500-01-00 features a 316L stainless steel housing paired with a 2-pin MIL-C-5015 threaded connector, isolating onsite oil, corrosive chemical gases, and high-pressure industrial washdowns when equipped with an armored cable and a sealing boot. All internal electronic components and the piezoelectric ceramic crystal are encapsulated in epoxy potting.

During installation, the mounting surface roughness must be under Ra 0.8 μm, and the sensor must be tightened vertically to a torque of 4.5 N·m. The electrical connector needs a sealing boot to prevent moisture entry and low insulation.
The 330500-01-00 integrates an electronic charge amplifier that converts the piezoelectric crystal's charge signal into a proportional low-impedance, two-wire current feedback signal. Its design is suitable for casing vibration monitoring of rotating equipment such as pumps, fans, and compressors, allowing a direct connection to the Bently Nevada 3500 machinery protection system or discrete hydraulic control networks.
The piezoelectric sensors in an alarm system detect mechanical vibrations, converting them into an electrical charge across the piezo crystal. The sensor sends a signal and triggers the alarm siren, also typically a piezo-driven device. You can place piezoelectric sensors on doors, windows, frames, or floors
How accurate is the 330500-01-00 piezo sensor?
Sensitivity. The output is linear over a wide range, typically 0.7 KPa to 70 MPa (0.1 to 10000 psi) with an accuracy of about 1%.
