The 43501-01-04-01 is a low pressure cable seal for eddy current transducer systems. During machine outages and probe installation, this accessory simplifies the field routing procedure for sensor cables.

Installing proximity probes during outages usually requires one or more mounting accessories to help simplify the task. These accessories allow you to quickly and efficiently install proximity probes and route the associated cables out of the machine case. These parts also help shield the cables from electrical noise and adverse environmental conditions. Having the proper mounting hardware on-site during the probe installation saves time and money for those responsible for the project.
The seal is rated to 345 kPa (50 psi) across grommet high pressure to low pressure. The seal is rated only on the cable outer jacket and seal body itself. It does not seal leaks through the cable braid or center conductor due to pinholes or cuts in the cable jacket or through the probe or connector. The primary intended usage is to seal lube oil to exit bearing housings and machine cases. The seal is rated to 1.0 psi absolute, but is limited in practice by the cable, probe, and connector as with pressure.

When using the 43501-01-04-01 seal, ensure it is paired with matching standard unarmored cables and the differential pressure does not exceed 345 kPa (50 psi). Note that it only seals along the cable's outer jacket; fluid can still leak through the internal cable braid or center conductor if the jacket is cut or the connector is damaged.

Technical notes
43501-01-04-01 features a rugged construction where its main housing and key mechanical parts are made of 303 AISI stainless steel. This provides excellent resistance to mechanical torque deformation, salt spray, and severe industrial oil corrosion. Internally, the elastomer is made of high-temperature and oil-resistant molded silicone rubber. It resists permanent deformation under long-term compression and withstands continuous immersion in hot lube oil inside bearing housings.
