The 330195-02-12-05-05 is a high-precision, reverse-mounted eddy current displacement sensor belonging to the 3300 XL 8 mm series. This system is specifically designed for industrial rotating machinery, accurately converting distance and vibration into voltage signals, and is a core component for condition monitoring and fault prevention.
One 3300 XL 8 mm probe
One 3300 XL extension cable
One 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Oil & Gas
Used on offshore platform gas compressors and pipeline transmission pumps to monitor shaft vibration, preventing catastrophic mechanical failures.
Petrochemical & Refining
Installed on high-speed centrifugal pumps and turbines to measure axial displacement, ensuring the stability of critical chemical refining processes.
Thermal Power
Applied to large steam turbines and boiler feed pumps for continuous vibration monitoring and Keyphasor speed reference.
Nuclear Power
Used on secondary-side cooling pumps and turbine generators to provide reliable shaft position data under strict safety regulations.
Hydroelectric Power
Monitors the radial runout and thrust position of large vertical hydro-turbine shafts to optimize bearing alignment.
Steel & Metallurgy
Installed on blast furnace blowers and oxygen compressors to prevent unplanned shutdowns of high-temperature ventilation systems.
When operating the 330195-02-12-05-05 probe, you must precisely adjust the initial gap voltage within the linear range using a multimeter, protect the cable and connectors by maintaining a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm with proper oil sealing, and ensure a secure and vibration-resistant mounting by strictly adhering to the 13.6 N·m maximum torque to prevent mechanical loosening or thread damage.
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. Specifically, this 330195-02-12-05-05 model features an 8mm reverse-mount probe with 3/8-24 UNF threads, a 12mm unthreaded length, a 0.5-meter total length, and multiple international agency approvals.
It is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm reverse mount proximity probe, used to measure shaft vibration and position.
How does 330195-02-12-05-05 work?
It uses eddy current technology to measure the gap change between the probe tip and the target metal surface without physical contact.
How to correctly install 330195-02-12-05-05?
Thread it into the housing backward, set the proper initial gap voltage using a voltmeter, and lock it tight.
Why is routine maintenance important for 330195-02-12-05-05?
Regular inspection prevents oil contamination on connectors and ensures early detection of mechanical wear, avoiding false alarms.
What external device does 330195-02-12-05-05 need to connect to?
It must connect to a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor via an extension cable, and then to a monitoring system (like Bently Nevada 3500).
