330105-02-12-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Reverse Mount Probes
A high-precision reverse mount proximity probe designed for Bently Nevada 3300 XL monitoring systems
It provides accurate non-contact vibration and displacement measurement with an 8 mm probe tip, optimized for reverse mounting installations and reliable operation in demanding machinery environments.
The BENTLY NEVADA 330105-02-12-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe provides precise non-contact measurement of shaft vibration and position. It outputs a voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface, enabling reliable monitoring of both static and dynamic conditions in rotating machinery.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Power Generation
Monitors rotor axial differential expansion and shaft vibration in steam turbine-generator sets and boiler feedwater pumps to prevent friction between high-speed rotating blades and casings.
Oil & Gas
Installed on fluid-film bearings of natural gas compressors on offshore drilling platforms and long-distance pipelines to measure dynamic shaft vibration under continuous operation.
Petrochemical & Refining Industry
Used for Keyphasor speed reference and orbit analysis on high-speed centrifugal compressors and heavy-duty machinery in hydrocracking and catalytic cracking units.
Steel & Metallurgical Industry
Monitors bearing position on high-power blast furnace blowers and Top Gas Recovery Turbine (TRT) systems, ensuring equipment safety in extremely dusty environments.
Hydroelectric Power Industry
Monitors the shaft swing (radial vibration) of large-diameter hydro-turbine shafts (including pumped storage units) and the gap clearance of thrust bearings.
Pulp & Paper Industry
Monitors non-contact bearing conditions of high-speed input shafts on yankee dryer gearboxes and large exhaust fans in modern paper mills to reduce unplanned downtime.

Driven by an external Proximitor sensor, this system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the 8 mm probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. Specifically engineered for tight spaces, this model features a reverse mount design with 3/8-24 UNF threads, a 0.2-inch unthreaded length, and a 1.2-inch overall case length. It delivers signals via a 0.5-meter integrated cable fitted with a fluid-resistant, self-locking ClickLoc premium coaxial connector, and it carries global hazardous area agency approvals. When fully deployed, the system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
What does Reverse Mount mean for 330105-02-12-05-02-05?
It means the probe is threaded in from the rear side of the mounting bracket, typically used where external space is limited or probe replacement via an external sleeve is required.
How to use products like 330105-02-12-05-02-05?
Thread it reversely into the bearing housing facing the target metal shaft, connect it to a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor via an extension cable, and route the voltage output signal to a monitoring monitor.
What is the operating principle of 330105-02-12-05-02-05?
The proximitor supplies a high-frequency current to create a magnetic field; as the metal shaft approaches, eddy currents form on its surface, changing the field energy and converting it into an output voltage proportional to the gap distance.
What material is the tip of the 330105-02-12-05-02-05 probe made of?
The probe tip is made of high-performance Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) engineering plastic, providing excellent chemical resistance and insulation.
