The 330104-00-10-05-12-05 is an industrial-grade, standard-mount, explosion-proof eddy current proximity probe belonging to the premier 3300 XL 8 mm transducer system. It features a standard 3/8-24 UNF fully threaded case (0.0 in unthreaded length, 1.0 in overall case length), an integrated 0.5-meter cable with a miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector, and a fluid-resistant stainless steel armor for robust physical shielding.

The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.

All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

 Operation must strictly follow intrinsically safe wiring codes (-05 approval) and ensure the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor form a matched 5-meter or 9-meter system to maintain measurement accuracy.

Because it features an integrated stainless steel armored cable (-12 configuration), a proper bending radius must be maintained during routing, heavy twisting, crushing, or over-pulling the armor is strictly prohibited to prevent damaging the internal coaxial core. During installation, the measurement gap must be precisely set by continuously monitoring the Proximitor’s output bias voltage (typically calibrated to -10 VDC).

Additionally, maintain a waterproof and oil-proof seal at the connectors, and perform all installation, adjustment, or locking activities only when the machinery is at a complete standstill.
