ABB SPDSO14 is a Symphony Plus HR Series digital output module with up to 16 optically isolated open-collector outputs. ABB documents 24 VDC operation at up to 250 mA per stated output rating and 48 VDC operation at up to 125 mA.

The module supplies discrete commands to field circuits such as annunciation, permissive, interposing-relay, and on/off control circuits. Open-collector behavior, field supply, polarity, load type, and protective devices must be engineered as a complete circuit. ABB lists direct use with NTDO02 solid-state relays or with a relay assembly using electromechanical relays. NTDO02 can provide up to eight solid-state relay outputs, and ABB states that each of the module's 16 output signals can drive up to nine relays through NTDO02. ABB maps the older IMDSO14 to SPDSO14 in its Harmony evolution material. The mapping is not permission to transfer wiring blindly: the installed terminal unit, dipshunt, polarity, field voltage, relay population, control logic, and diagnostics must all be checked.
Important Notice: Confirm SPDSO14 rather than IMDSO14, SPDSO04, or a mixed-input/output DSM module.
