The 330130-040-02-CN is a standard extension cable for the 3300 XL series 8 mm eddy current proximity transducer system. Serving as the primary signal transmission medium for this non-contact measurement system, the cable establishes a high-frequency, low-loss charge path between the field probe tip and the remote Proximitor sensor.

The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

 During cable routing, the static bend radius must not be less than 25.4 mm due to the manufacturing limits of the internal core wire and coaxial shield. Excessive bending will cause permanent physical deformation of the internal dielectric structure, which alters local capacitance and degrades vibration measurement accuracy.

When connecting the probe to the extension cable, the miniature coaxial connectors must remain free of oil and moisture. Once connected, slide and lock the integrated transparent connector protector over the junction to seal out mineral oil splashing, water vapor, or industrial acid mist from inside the machinery housing, preventing signal grounding leaks.

The connection interface integrates the proprietary CableLoc strain relief and ClickLoc miniature coaxial connector design. The crimped and welded joint between the cable and the coaxial connector withstands an external axial mechanical pull force up to 330 Newtons (75 pounds-force).
