The 330102-00-43-05-02-05 is a high-precision, non-contact 3300 XL 8 mm forward mount proximity probe with stainless steel armor, specifically designed for industrial rotating machinery. As part of the world-renowned 3300 XL series—a benchmark in the global machinery condition monitoring industry—this product is widely utilized in steam turbines, compressors, and fans within heavy industries such as power generation and petrochemicals. It is dedicated to measuring shaft vibration, displacement, speed, and Keyphasor signals.
ClickLoc Mini Coaxial Connector
Comes with 304 stainless steel armor
API 670 standard
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Power Generation
Monitors critical shaft vibration and axial thrust position in large-scale steam turbines and generators to prevent catastrophic blade-to-casing contact.
Petrochemical & Refining
Measures the radial vibration and speed of high-speed centrifugal compressors and hydrogen compressors to ensure explosive-gas process safety.
Oil & Gas Pipelines
Tracks the shaft dynamic stability and Keyphasor references on gas turbines driving large pipeline pump stations.
Iron & Steel Metallurgy
Monitors the bearing oil film thickness and vibration of blast furnace blowers and oxygen compressors under high-heat, dusty environments.
Liquefied Natural Gas
Measures the thermal growth, shaft expansion, and vibration of cryogenic pumps and expanders operating at extreme sub-zero temperatures.
Cement Manufacturing
Detects shaft misalignment and bearing wear in high-power kiln ID (Induced Draft) fans and raw material grinding mills.
When using the Bently Nevada 330102-00-43-05-02-05 probe, ensure the reverse-mount assembly is firmly locked to prevent operational loosening, and avoid over-bending the armored cable to protect the internal core. Meanwhile, keep the ClickLoc connectors perfectly clean and dry before mating, and precisely adjust the initial installation gap via the Proximitor to the linear range (typically around -9 Vdc). Lastly, always verify that the 0.5-meter probe is paired with the correct extension cable so that the total system length perfectly matches the Proximitor Sensor specifications.
The system outputs voltage directly proportional to the gap between the probe tip and a conductive surface, measuring static position and dynamic vibration. The 330102-00-43-05-02-05 probe features an armored, 4.3-inch 3/8-24 UNF full-threaded case and a 0.5-meter cable with a ClickLoc connector, matching a 5m or 9m loop with a 3300 XL Proximitor. Intrinsically safe certified (Code 05), it provides a 2 mm (80 mil) linear range and 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) sensitivity on AISI 4140 steel. Primary uses include fluid-film bearing vibration/position tracking, speed, and Keyphasor reference measurements.
What specific type of industrial hardware is the 330102-00-43-05-02-05?
It is a non-contact, micron-level displacement sensor belonging to the 3300 XL 8mm eddy current probe series, primarily utilized for measuring the vibration and position of metallic rotating shafts.
What is the primary application of the 330102-00-43-05-02-05 on the factory floor?
It is securely mounted on the fluid-film bearing housings of large rotating machinery (such as turbines, compressors, and large pumps) for the uninterrupted detection of shaft vibration, axial displacement, and Keyphasor speed references.
How does one properly install and secure the 330102-00-43-05-02-05 in an industrial field?
It is directly screwed into a physical mounting hole on the bearing housing via its 3/8-24 UNF threads, locked in position with a locknut, and requires the thread depth to be adjusted under power to match the correct electrical physical gap.
Can the 330102-00-43-05-02-05 operate independently under direct power to output vibration signals?
No, it is a passive impedance acquisition component that must be connected via its own cable and an extension cable to a matching 3300 XL Proximitor sensor to complete signal conversion.
How does one execute a physical zero or electrical midpoint adjustment on an installed 330102-00-43-05-02-05?
The operator must monitor the DC voltage output terminals of the Proximitor using a multimeter, slowly rotating the case depth until the DC output voltage reaches the standard midpoint value (typically -10 VDC), and then tighten the locknut.
