The Bently Nevada 21000 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute's (API) 670 standard for externally mounted proximity probe housings. Featuring a lightweight aluminum enclosure, this assembly is certified as a CSA Type 4 enclosure. It carries rigorous Canadian Standards Association approvals and is rated explosion-proof, making it ideal for intrinsically safe applications in hazardous areas. The sleeve length of the assembly is determined by the specific location in which the probe and housing are installed. For applications requiring sleeve lengths longer than 304 mm, additional sleeve support is necessary to mitigate mechanical vibrations associated with unsupported long sleeves.

Bently Nevada offers a standard probe support and oil seal for long sleeves routing through an inner bearing housing, as well as custom sleeve support solutions. Additionally, the product line includes the 24701 stainless steel housing and the 164818 compact housing to accommodate various material and space restrictions. As a critical hardware extension of Bently Nevada’s machinery protection systems, this assembly provides rugged physical protection for mainstream proximity probes against industrial oil, moisture, and mechanical impacts.

Its "externally adjustable" design allows for rapid probe adjustment and maintenance without removing the main housing. This minimizing equipment downtime and ensures seamless integration with the 3500 monitoring system for the long-term, safe, and stable operation of critical rotating machinery—including turbines, compressors, and fans—in harsh industrial environments.
