The 21000/24701 Proximity Housing Assemblies are availablewith Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approvals. Theyare rated explosion proof for hazardous areas.
You can order hazardous area approved proximity probes with21000 aluminum and 24701 stainless steel housings forintrinsically safe applications. Both housings are certified asCSA Type 4 enclosures and are fully compliant with theAmerican Petroleum Institute's (API) 670 Standard forexternally mounted proximity probe housings.
Bently Nevada offers two all-metal Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies forexternal mounting of proximity probes: the 21000 aluminum probe housingassembly, and the 24701 stainless steel probe housing assembly.

This component is typically used in conjunction with the 3300 XL series eddy current sensors to achieve the following monitoring functions:
Radial vibration: Measure the radial oscillation of the rotating shaft within the bearing to evaluate rotational stability and balance condition.
