As a low-frequency variant of the standard Velomitor piezo-velocity sensor, its application is the measurement of casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies operating at or above 90 rpm. The component measures vibration amplitudes at these low frequencies, as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the associated fan motor and speed reducer.
The 190501-04-00-04 contains internal piezoelectric crystals and electronics to convert acceleration into a velocity signal via integration. The component operates within a frequency response range of 1.5 Hz to 1.0 kHz, with a sensitivity rating of 3.94 mV/mm/s across this band. Sealed in a 316L stainless steel housing, the unit operates under exposure to humidity and water spray in industrial cooling towers.
