Information
- JOPPICH TS-02 monitors resistance sensors and operates the assigned alarm, trip and cooling relay circuits.
Sensor arrangement: Two PTC channels and one Pt100
Switching outputs: Four relays
Display: Three-digit temperature indication
The Pt100 switching point can be set from 20 to 200 °C, with a factory setting of 80 °C and a reset point 20 °C below the selected threshold.
Four relays provide the assigned status and temperature functions for external alarm, trip or cooling circuits. A periodic Re4 exercise runs for ten minutes after each 720-hour interval. TS-02 suits transformer and electrical-machine monitoring when the sensors, relay loads and protection sequence are coordinated with the installation.

Application scope: The following describe engineering uses of this product. Match the installed interfaces, operating conditions and intended control function before integration or replacement.
-
Transformer thermal protection
Monitor separate PTC temperature stages for alarm and protective action. Coordinate the relay contacts with the transformer protection design. -
Cooling control
Use the Pt100 channel and its adjustable setpoint for the intended cooling command. Account for the 20 °C switching hysteresis. -
Electrical machine monitoring
Integrate suitable PTC and Pt100 sensors in an electrical-machine temperature monitoring circuit. Match sensor insulation and wiring to the installation. -
Temperature diagnostics
Use the temperature display and channel fault indications to identify sensor-circuit problems. Confirm the fault before replacing the monitored equipment.
Keep the two PTC inputs separate from the three-wire Pt100 input. Do not connect an arbitrary analog transmitter to a resistance-sensor channel.
Compare the applied AC or DC voltage with the TS-02 supply range and terminal arrangement before energization.
Observe voltage, current and AC/DC switching-power limits together. Relay contact capability does not determine the rating of a connected motor or contactor.
Choose an application-approved setpoint from 20 to 200 °C and account for the 20 °C reset difference. Save the setting with SET.
Investigate open-circuit or short-circuit indications and verify sensor wiring before returning the protection circuit to service.
Check temperature stages, relay functions and the external alarm/trip or cooling response using the approved commissioning method.

Technical notes
System relationship: Preserve the two PTC circuits and three-wire Pt100 connection. Check sensor continuity and the designated terminal assignments before applying power.
Configuration boundary: TS-02 combines two PTC protection channels and one Pt100 control channel. Sensor wiring and external alarm, trip or cooling circuits must match the actual installation.

FAQ View All FAQ
-
Which sensors connect to TS-02?TS-02 provides two two-wire PTC sensor circuits and one three-wire Pt100 channel. Each channel must use its designated sensor and terminal arrangement.
-
What supply voltage can TS-02 accept? Its supply range is 24 to 270 V DC or 40 to 270 V AC at 50 to 60 Hz, with the specified ±10% tolerance.
-
What Pt100 setpoint range does TS-02 provide? The Pt100 switching setpoint is adjustable from 20 to 200 °C. The factory setting is 80 °C.
-
What switching hysteresis applies to the Pt100 channel on TS-02?The relay resets 20 °C below the selected Pt100 switching point. Include this difference in the cooling-control design.
-
How does TS-02 indicate temperature?It has a three-digit seven-segment display covering 0 to 200 °C, with 1 °C resolution and a 1.5-second update interval.
-
How many relay outputs does TS-02 provide? It has four relays for power/status and the temperature functions. Contact limits are 230 V and 6 A, with maximum switching powers of 1500 VA AC or 120 W DC.
-
How are new Pt100 settings retained on TS-02?Use SET to store a changed setpoint. Without confirmation, the previous setting is restored after the adjustment timeout.
-
What does the periodic 333 indication on TS-02 signify? It accompanies the automatic relay exercise function: relay Re4 is energized for ten minutes after each 720-hour interval. It is not the temperature reading or a sensor-error code.
