A Current Source Analog I/O block has four 4 to 20mA current inputs. Each input provides a 24 volt current loop power supply and is isolated from all other circuits within the block. The module also includes two output channels that provide both precise control and power for 4-to-20mA current loops. While the output channels and Bus Switching Module (BSM) circuitry share an electrical common, they remain strictly isolated from the input stage, ensuring signal integrity within complex redundant architectures. Furthermore, the IC660BBA104 offers exceptional configuration flexibility, all circuits support independent linear scaling. This allows raw internal values to be converted directly at the block level into engineering units—such as pressure, temperature, or flow—effectively reducing the processing load on the host controller. All circuits on the block support independent selection of linear scaling values. These values can be used to convert the internal values into engineering units suitable for the application.
