The 330180-X1-05 MOD：145004-17 is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL series eddy-current Proximitor sensor for machinery monitoring. Serving as the signal conditioner for 3300 XL 8mm or 3300 series 5mm systems, it features an A308 aluminum housing with SpringLoc terminals. It connects to a proximity probe and extension cable to form a loop, converting RF signals into a DC voltage proportional to the gap, allowing downstream 3500 systems to read displacement or vibration data.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. This specific Proximitor sensor features the MOD 145004-17 modification, which provides factory recalibration specifically for BS970 080M40 target materials.
The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components (when used within compatible target material groups). This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

Due to the MOD: 145004-17 custom calibration, the target shaft (target material) must be the specified non-standard alloy (BS970 080M40 carbon steel), do not use it on standard AISI 4140 steel to avoid signal distortion.
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.
