The 330173-00-04-20-02-05 When combined with a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and XL extension cable, the system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The system can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data. Its primary use is in vibration and position measurement applications on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor measurement and speed measurement applications.

This product is a 5mm eddy current probe with a narrow linear range. The recommended installation gap is 0.50–0.65mm, corresponding to a gap voltage of approximately -10V. Exceeding this range will result in severe distortion. The installation method and accuracy are reverse mounting. The probe tip must not protrude from the mounting surface and should be perpendicular to the surface of the measured axis. Avoid surrounding it with unnecessary metal structures to prevent mutual inductance interference. Wiring and anti-interference cable should be armored and protected, kept away from power lines and frequency converters. The shielding layer should be grounded at a single point. The preamplifier should be installed with insulation to avoid ground loop interference.
